|My aunt Maureen in the 1940's|
Similar to my previous layout, I used MajaDesign papers and a lot of Dusty Attic chipboard on this one.
All the MajaDesign papers used are from their Walking in the Forest collection. I layered all the diecuts (except for the floral ones) over copies cut from dark brown cardstock which I also used as the outer mat of the layout. The centers of the large orange flowers are Petaloo Printed Darjeeling flowers which I layered over some floral die cuts made from the Mountain Ash and Teal Socks papers and outlined with orange marker.
These are the dies I used:
I did a little bit of stamping and some stencilling with molding paste on the background paper. After the molding paste was dry I put the stencil back over those areas and lightly dabbed on some white paint to make them stand out more. I also used a Prima doily stencil but it ended up being mostly covered by the photo.
The pumpkins were made from polymer clay using a mold, then painted.
These are the Dusty Attic chipboard pieces I used:
|French Garden Border|
I painted the grass clusters, Flutterbies and French Garden Border. For Fancy Trim #3, I applied white distress crackle paint and then rubbed over the dried paint with orange and brown distress inks. The Wattle Blossom was painted orange then coated with clear Rocky Candy crackle. I then rubbed brown ink over it to highlight the cracks more and dabbed it with beige paint very lightly using my finger.
Thanks for looking!
